- a figure for each individual, at the agency's own client companies
Pixeler is a Hungarian creative and marketing agency, and its own top clients are the hardest people in business to give anything to.
A marketing agency's own top clients are the most gift-saturated people in business. They receive from every vendor, every partner and every supplier, every December, and most of it is the same object with a different logo on it. An agency giving one of those gifts carries an extra problem on top of that one: it is judged on taste for a living, and a forgettable Christmas gift from a creative agency is not neutral, it is evidence.
So Pixeler went after the thing a branded box can never do. It had WLWYB build individual brick-figure likenesses of specific people at its client companies, a figure for each individual, each carrying a small detail true to that person: the desk monitor, the toy plane, the ball and the cooking pot, the motorcycle. Each figure shipped with its own instructions and its own personal web page. The agency's own logo is nowhere on the front of it, which is the decision the whole gift turns on: the object is about the recipient, and the only thing it says about the sender is that they were paying attention.

Every recipient of the Christmas builds called it the best Christmas gift they had received. The same relationship later produced something with nothing in common with this at all, a production run of branded model car kits for automotive marques arriving in a market they had never sold in, and the only thing the jobs share is the test they had to pass: specific enough to the person or the moment that it could not have come from anyone else.

What the client said
"I tend to bring WLWYB the kind of ideas that sound slightly impossible at first. And every single time, his response is not to tell us why they cannot be done, but to find a way to make them happen. He has supported us through several projects, from turning each of our clients into personalised BrickHeadz for Christmas to creating bespoke OMODA 5 and JAECOO 7 sets for VIP guests at the brands' launch in the CEE region. David never asks us to make an unconventional idea smaller. He helps us make it better, and then turns it into something buildable. That is why WLWYB is far more than a supplier to us. They are a creative partner we genuinely trust."
